Server

A server is responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests, taking and serving orders, and ensuring that the dining experience is enjoyable. Their job duties may include:
Greeting guests: Servers must greet guests as they arrive, make them feel welcome, and seat them at a table.
Taking orders: Servers must take food and beverage orders from guests, making recommendations as needed, and ensuring that orders are accurate and entered into the restaurant's ---------- rving food and drinks: Servers must serve food and drinks to guests, ensuring that plates and glasses are arranged properly and that guests have everything they need.
Handling payments: Servers must handle payments from guests, including cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment, and ensure that they are accurately recorded and processed.

Upselling: Servers must be able to suggest additional menu items or drinks to guests to increase sales and enhance the dining experience.
Cleaning and resetting tables: Servers must clean and reset tables after guests leave, ensuring that the table is ready for the next guest.
Handling complaints: Servers must be able to handle guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues to the satisfaction of the guest and the restaurant.
To be successful as a server in a restaurant, candidates should have excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a friendly and outgoing personality. A high school diploma or equivalent may be required, along with some experience in the food service industry. Additional training in customer service or food safety may also be required.
