Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Architect & Technical Design Manager to remotely lead our technical design team while providing direct support to sales and client-facing initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly skilled designer who thrives at the intersection of technical excellence, leadership, and communication.

This is more than a drafting position. You will oversee design quality, guide junior tea ---------- mbers, collaborate with sales to translate client needs into buildable solutions, and help elevate the overall client experience from concept through execution.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Design

Lead the development, review, and approval of high-quality architectural and civil design drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, AutoCAD LT, and Revit.

Interpret client, architect, contractor, and survey data to produce accurate, build-ready site and architectural plans.

Establish and maintain a growing design template and standards library to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Oversee grading plans, erosion control layouts, and general site development concepts as required.

Ensure all drawings meet internal quality standards, client specifications, and applicable codes.

Team Leadership

Serve as the technical lead for the design team, providing guidance, feedback, and mentorship.

Review work produced by tea ---------- mbers and ensure accuracy, clarity, and professionalism.

Proactively identify workflow improvements and implement process enhancements.

Sales & Client Support

Support the sales team by translating client requirements into conceptual layouts, design narratives, and visual materials.

Participate in internal strategy discussions to align design solutions with client goals and budgets.

Provide timely follow-ups, clarifications, and technical input to support deal progression and client confidence.

Administrative & Client-Facing Support

Manage and organize project documentation, specifications, and technical files.

Assist with client communications, including follow-up emails and technical explanations.

Help set up and manage auto-responders and client communication workflows as needed.

Provide general technical and customer support to ensure a seamless client experience.

Required Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent hands-on experience in architectural/civil drafting and design.

Extensive experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit; Civil 3D experience preferred.

Working knowledge of site planning, grading, and erosion control concepts.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in residential and commercial design and construction.

Prior experience leading or mentoring technical teams.

Experience supporting sales, estimating, or client-facing design presentations.
