We are a self-funded Australian startup created by two entrepreneurs with 20+ years of experience in manufacturing industries, technology and finance. We have created a highly innovative ecosystem for a specific type of small business in a growing market with excellent tail winds. Our business combines a SaaS solution designed to solve the business needs this specific niche market, combined with a robust eCommerce marketplace (including our own manufactured products) and POS portal.

Our business model is the first B2B2C model of its kind in the industry blending wholesale product supply and retail POS with complex payment flows and an advanced booking system. Our roadmap includes a sophisticated dropshipping portal for 3rd party products, and integration of AI into the booking process and ML to uncover the buyer behavior of users and their customers.

We are just about to launch V2 of our app and have over 1,000 downloads so far. We are looking for a new tea ---------- mber who can help us develop our roadmap.

About the role
As our 2nd in-house full-stack engineer you’ll be working with our senior Full Stack team lead, back end engineers and automation testing engineer. You understand complicated systems and the importance of building to a quality standard, as our platform integrates Stripe, Shopify, Xero, HubSpot, cin7, and databox along with all of our internal systems to provide a unified customer experience.

You’ll be on a growing team and your role will span across:
Our React Native mobile application
Customer appointment booking web application
Django Mobile app administration portal
Our fully integrated Shopify fulfilment component
AWS infrastructure including CDKServices that integrate with our payment, inventory and logistics partners
Development of a new drop shipping portal
Build infrastructure and systems that are reliable and easy to maintain
Design and maintain the entire AWS stack
Improve our continuous integration and delivery process
Ensure that our business logic is maintained across a complex web of systems
Software development, testing, and confident deployment to production
Requirements
3+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
Experienced with agile software development practices
A proven track record of architecting, implementing, deploying, and maintaining React and React Native software applications
Proficient with backend and service technologies like NodeJS and Python
Shopify LIquid
Proficient with AWS infrastructure and CI/CD workflows
Experience in communicating with customers to collect requirements and describe software features
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Experienced in using Git-based workflows in a team environment
A relationship-builder who is comfortable collaborating and communicating with clients, staff, and partners
