CONTENT WRITER
The position will be responsible for the creation and delivery of brand messages. Successful candidates will be in charge of creating original written content for publication in various communication media. S/he will also be responsible for managing media relations as an outsourced service for clients and will work closely with our clients. Responsibilities include:
• Conceptualizing and developing ideas individually or as part of a team
• Working from creative briefs or direction provided by account management
• Developing an in-depth knowledge of StraightArrow’s business, as well as its clients
• Researching and writing about a wide-range of topics as required
• Creating and maintaining online content for StraightArrow’s and for clients’ websites and social media channels
• Working with a team to plan editorial calendars and coordinate media and marketing events i.e. press conferences and online workshops for clients
• Contacting relevant individuals/groups, planning and researching, and preparing materials as needed to complete marketing projects
• Participating in the development of communication plans for the company and its clients
• Performing various basic media relations tasks such as answering inquiries, composing press releases, developing press kits and maintaining a strong relationship with media contacts
• Moderating social media channels if and when required by the campaign
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Advertising/Media, Journalism, Humanities/Liberal Arts, Mass Communications or any equivalent course•
• At least 3 years’ experience in copywriting, electronic or print journalism, or online publication of original content, i.e. white papers, eBooks, articles, blogs etc.•
• Must have communication skills, training, and/or experience in communications projects for various industries including advertising, BPO, technology and publishing•
• Knowledge in SEO, Social Media and Online Marketing is a plus•
• Must be proficient in copy writing, conceptualization, research, editing, and proofreading•
• Must have least 3 year(s) of working experience in related fields, i.e. Public Relations/Communications/ Publication
