Insurance Verification Specialist

We're seeking an insurance verifier with previous medical insurance handling experience.

Duties would include:
- Verifying insurance coverage of each patient via telephone or through insurance websites
- Explaining coverages to fellow tea ---------- mbers when needed
- Obtaining referrals for patients when they are not covered.
- Updating patient information within our practice management software
- Keeping a well organized list of patients who need to be verified
- Notifying office staff or supervisor of issues with patient's insurance information
- Being able to communicate with department supervisor once per week

Position must-haves:
- Be available to work during normal business hours: 9am-5pm EST, Monday through Friday
- Be HIPAA certified
- A great phone voice!
