UX/UI designer

We are seeking a UX Designer on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote in Redmond, WA or candidates must be located on the West Coast.

What You’ll Do:
• Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers to define great experiences from initial concept through successful implementation
• Visualize and prototype intended solutions at various levels of fidelity including high-level wireframes, conceptual designs, design presentations, and detailed specifications
• Collaborate closely with one or more local or remote Agile Scrum teams, working iteratively to deliver customer value
• Use customer insights that come from analytics and customer interactions to help inform business and design decisions
• Help to facilitate and participate in user research like interviews and usability testing to validate designs and make iterative improvements
• Contribute to efforts to create scalable experience design standards and improve design processes
• Participate in and lead design-thinking exercises to break through organizational silos and collaboratively solve complex design challenges

Must-Haves:
• 5+ years of experience in product design or user experience design, preferably in gaming, research, or e-commerce adjacent industries
• Advanced skills in all of the following: user-centered design methodologies; creating mock-ups and prototypes at varying levels of fidelity; UI design, including current industry best-practice in UI standards, and accessibility requirements, for web and mobile
• Expert in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience defining product strategy and vision
• A portfolio demonstrating your end-to-end design process
• Comfortable working on a distributed team and collaborating remotely
• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essence
• Demonstrable experience utilizing a variety of human-centered design methods and best practices
• Ability to drive results in a collaborative environment
• Strong presentation skills to share your work with credibility, clarity, and confidence
• Experience translating qualitative and quantitative data into design decisions
• Practical understanding (including capabilities, patterns, and limitations) of current technologies used to build rich experiences in responsive web and native mobile large enterprise apps
• Ability to balance great design solutions with an iterative, agile approach
• Experience supporting a complex ecosystem with multiple products
