We are a growing small business located in California, United States. We need help keeping our financials in order. Our online retail business is growing toward 1000 transactions per week, and every transaction is booked in our financial system.
Bookkeeping is the primary task but we are a small business with no financial officer, so you will be tasked to handle all aspects of our finances. We are behind in our bookkeeping so we need to catch up. Your most important required skill is attention to detail, as a small business we have little room for error.
Required Skills:
Perfect bookkeeping to the exact cent
Previous experience of financial software systems
Complete repetitive tasks efficiently and accurately
Microsoft Excel or equivalent
Staying focused on assigned tasks, be a hard worker
Ability to comprehend and prioritize tasks, ask questions when confused
Work like a partner to the business, do what is best
Basic Tasks:
Bookkeeping: enter and reconcile bills
Maintain P & L and Balance Sheet
Prepare information for accountant
Daily e-mail updates
Required Working Environment:
Because of the sensitive nature of our finances, we require a private work area
More than capable computer with Internet access, anti-virus, Excel or equivalent spreadsheet program (some files are large and need >4GB), IM/Skype, Google Docs/Apps
Printer and scanner
Must be available for calls a few hours a week during California business hours, the rest of the time can be performed at your preferred schedule.
