Job Brief
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Business Services Team in a full-time
Key responsibilities will include:
• Prepare, analyse and review financial statements and management accounts.
• Prepare income tax returns from source documents.
• Act as the company liaison between the client and any external accounting and tax compliance organisation or regulator.
• Reconcile, report, and pay BAS, GST, and Payroll Tax
• Provide varied ad-hoc support across a broad range of areas
• Actively and continuously utilise and contribute to the Company’s process improvements.
• Proactively and professionally assist other tea
• Deliver the Company’s accounting and tax services to its client base.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel with the ability to filter, manipulate and interpret data
• Liaise with manager to ensure jobs are reviewed and completed on time
Requirements and skills
• You are an established and qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a Public Practice firm
• You have an understanding of Australian Tax Fundamentals
• Fluent in English
• 3+ years in a BPO or Work From Home environment
• Proven experience in a Virtual Accountant or relevant role
• Experience with an Australian Accounting Firm is preferred
• Experience in financial reporting
• Familiarity with current technologies, like desktop sharing, cloud services
• Excellent Microsoft office skills
• Good communicator and very organised
• A passion for delivering a high-quality service to clients
• Outstanding attention to detail and time management, with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Ability to collaborate with a close-knit team as well as work under minimal supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience with Xero and FYI Docs is desirable.
