ASP.NET Web Application Developer

Language Scientific, a well-established, highly specialized localization company is seeking a web application developer.

We specialize in providing medical and technical translation services in over 150 languages. Our clients range from Fortune 500 pharmaceuticals to start-up technology companies. Our technical specialization and customer-centered attitude have earned us the trust of many of the world's best technology, bio-medical, and pharmaceutical companies.
Working as a remote developer, the candidate will, under limited supervision, create and maintain software tools that enable our employees to be more productive and creative.

Our ideal candidate has 4 to 8 years of experience working in a small team/independently with experience in the following areas:

1. Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
2. Deep knowledge of 2 or more programming languages.
3. Platform independent software development.
4. Comfortable with open source development tools, as well as Microsoft based ones.

Requirements:
• 4-8 years of development experience.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field,
MA or MS are preferred;
• Broad application development experience.
• Database development experience (preferably MySQL).
• Familiarity with Microsoft Entity Framework.
• A minimum of 4 years development experience in ASP.NET framework using C#
• Experience with Visual Studio, utilizing Web Services, and MySQL
• Strong communication skills.
Ability to thoroughly examine requirements and gather additional information if needed.
• Ability to thoroughly test completed work.
