JOB OVERVIEW



The Trade Marketing Manager is responsible for the coordination of resources for brand-
building activities customized for the Modern Trade Channel and applied specifically for
in-store merchandising and promotions. It is also responsible for the development and
achievement of merchandising and distribution standards via coordination with Third
Party Agencies and use of technologies.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides support to Modern Trade Channel in developing account strategies that
are consistent with the needs of the trade customer, category and consumer for
the assigned products;
2. Develops and executes effective account-specific programs that are consistent
with the company’s marketing directions and channel needs that would result in
the achievement of short and long term sales objectives (this includes mailers,
discounting, bundling, gondola display, display allowances, etc.)
3. Ensures that all merchandising activities are documented and that all marketing-
related expenses (listing fees, display allowances, anniversary support, gondola
display, display allowances, etc.) are properly documented and audited;
4. Ensures implementation and compliance of the core product ranges’ distribution
in specific outlet types in achieving both the merchandising and distribution
objectives;
5. Conceptualizes, develops and Implements merchandising plan/planograms to
achieve SOS=SOM (Share of Space=Share of Market) in identified key outlets;
6. Assists the Modern Trade Channel Managers in monitoring and revising Trade
Support Programs Work process to maintain efficiency in implementation of
trade/account specific promotional activities;
7. Observes and reports new competitive products/activities to allow counter
measures; Conducts price canvass and pricing analysis;
8. Leads in monitoring and tracking the assigned company products in the
warehouse to ensure freshness and plan disposition activities if necessary;
9. Develops and leads in the implementation of merchandising materials purchase
from suppliers and distribution to the Third Party Agencies (TPA);
10. Deploys merchandisers in all merchandiser-covered outlets and ensures its
compliance with the standard and agreed merchandising deployment plan.
Ensures optimum utilization of Third Party merchandising services;
11. Provides supplemental training to TPA merchandisers to maintain effective
implementation of merchandising standards and practices;
12. Directs promo coordinators to monitor and track company products in the
accounts’ shelf and warehouse through regular reports. This includes
a. Inventory Reports;
b. Near expiry, expired products’ reports;
c. B.O. Management analysis (B.O. percentage per account/SKU)
13. Monitors periodically product aging and in coordination with Marketing, develops
timely product disposition plan and manages the depletion of BO’s and near
expiry products (i.e., through promotions); Coordinates with Food Service
Department for the disposition of sellable pulled out items;
14. Ensures accuracy of TPA billing and maintains the agreed payment terms.
15. Operates efficiently and economically by sound time judgment to minimize non-
productive activities and by good judgment in spending company funds;
REQUIREMENTS:
? Male or Female;
? Between 25 to 35 years old;
? Graduate of any business course, marketing or equivalent.
? With relevant work experience gained from reputable companies in the fast-
moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry;
? Ability to use and analyze financial information (i.e., Profits and Loss, Cost to
Sales Ratio, etc.)
? Dynamic, Highly Innovative, Organized and systematic.
? Willing to be assigned in Tondo, Manila
