Probability & Statistics Researcher

I'm seeking a full-time podcast researcher with a background in statistics to turn trending news into daily charts that spark community discussion.

The compensation is $400 USD per month. You are expected to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, at a standard schedule (local working timezone is acceptable). You must have at least one full year of experience working as a statistician or similar role focused on data analysis.

Qualifications

- Extreme attention to detail (e.g., catching incorrect dates, grammar, spelling, and typos).

- Driven individual with at least one full year of experience working in data science, probability, or statistics.

- Ability to find a compelling data angle for any given subject.

- Available 40 hours per week (full-time Monday through Friday role).

- Passitionate about a broad number of topics and news.

- Read, speak and write excellent English.

- Willing to learn new things and develop new skills.

- Ability to work from home without distractions.

- Own a computer and have a high-speed internet connection.

Responsibilities

- Research daily trending news (RSS feeds, social media posts, YouTube, etc.).

- Identify and write 12 daily conversation-sparking data insights (in Tweet form) and turn them into simple charts.

- Include the source for any referenced data and avoid biased or poorly researched sources.
