Full-Time Healthcare Accountant

We are professional services company in the healthcare industry. We are currently growing our accounting services line quickly and need 2-3 full-time accountants to assist in accounting and controllership functions.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Monthly closing - We target closing the books upon reconciliation and all entries made within 7 days of the month-end.
- Monthly reporting - Accountant will distribute monthly reports (Balance Sheet / Income Statements / A/R / Segment Reporting and Consolidated Reporting).
- Calculating G/L entries and accruals - Each G/L account has its own controls and SOPs. Our accountants learn each, track historical trends, calculate and enter journal entries.
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations - monthly reconciliations are required.
- Construction project accounting - Healthcare always has construction projects going on. For some clients, we'll need you (and the team) to assist with the project accounting as its in progress.
- Intercompany transactions - Accountant will understand the legal entity structure to ensure reporting and intercompany transactions are properly recorded in each entity.

Our clients are generally on specialized healthcare accounting softwares (CPSI, Lawson, Meditech). You've probably never heard of those, don't be too intimidated - they're just big databases. If you have heard of those, please mention it...big bonus points. Healthcare organizations use specialized systems that run their revenue and insurance operations as general ledgers since that's the largest part of their business.

There will be a lot of opportunity to grow. We're building this process quickly and the demand is high. If you want to be a team lead or specialize in certain accounting areas - we'll develop training programs that allow you to build your skillset.
