Back End Developer (Part Time)

Elite Digital is a white label WordPress design and development agency that serves other agencies. Based in the UK but working remotely, we are a team of 15 right now, 13 of which are in the Philippines.

We've been trading since 2019, first under Themeco (makers of the hugely popular X and Pro WP themes), and more recently under our own name. We've grown steadily during that time, working with many clients around the world, but mainly in the US & ---------- w we're looking for great back-end developers who want to supplement their income by taking on work for us on an hourly basis when our core team is at capacity. This could lead to a full-time position as part of our core team, if desired.

Key Requirements:

- 3+ years experience either working as a back-end developer or directly with clients.
- Highly proficient technically in PHP, Javascript & WordPress.
- Experienced using APIs to integrate websites with third party platforms.
- Capable of building custom functionality from scratch following development best practices.
- Great problem solver, who can create elegant solutions to technical challenges.
- Excellent communicator in English, both in writing and verbally.
- Team player who is prepared to offer opinions and or seek support from colleagues.

Experience:

This role would suit someone with several years development experience, who is used to working on a project by project basis. You may work within a team already or you may be a freelancer who works directly with clients, but you should be familiar with the project cycle from estimation to quality assurance.

Responsibilities:

- Reviewing project briefs, asking clarifying questions, offering technical solutions to meet briefs and providing estimates.
- Carrying out development of assigned projects to meet our internal coding standards.
- Testing your own work and assuring it meets the project brief.
- Reporting progress internally and to our clients per our communication standards.
- Working closely with our project managers and representing our company ---------- pensation & Benefits:

We provide full and ongoing training to all our tea ---------- mbers, and a generous hourly rate determined by location and experience. Monthly payments will be made in USD to your bank account.
