Experienced Layout Designer Needed for Print Publication

We are a Media Group that publishes three newspapers and are looking for a talented designer to layout and design one of our papers. The job mostly involves laying out the article text and photos, inserting ads and overall making sure that each page of the paper looks really nice. It may also involve some ad design but not too much.

Responsibilities will include:
• laying out articles, photos, classified ads, open house table, community announcements etc
• inserting ads
• Making sure that each page looks nice
• designing house ads and other ads
• designing header and footer templates
• designing unique headers for special sections

Required Qualifications Include:
• A good eye for detail
• Experience laying out print publications
• Experience using InDesign
• Speaks & writes English well
• Works well with deadlines and understands priorities
• Willing to learn new things
• Excellent communication skills

This is a full time job working US eastern standard time hours. We are looking for someone who is able to work the overnight shift in the Philippines.
