Job Description:
We are DO Well, a small business, looking for an experienced bookkeeper with accounting background to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background and experience in accounting, experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO), and a solid understanding of multi-currency transactions.
Responsibilities:
> Accurately maintain and update financial records in QBO
> Reconcile bank and credit card statements
> Handle multi-currency transactions and convert them to the company's base currency
> Generate basic financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheet
> Assist with budget preparation and forecasting
> Communicate with vendors and customers regarding invoices and payments
> Comply with all financial regulations and laws (Canadian and US)
Requirements:
> Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
> Strong understanding of accounting principles
> Proficient in QBO and Excel ( Google Sheet )
> Experience with multi-currency transactions
> Strong attention to detail and accuracy
> Ability to work independently and as part of a team
> Efficient English verbal and written communication skills
> Experience working with small businesses is a plus
