JOB OVERVIEW

Schlanger Law Group, a plaintiff-side U.S. based consumer law firm, is seeking a full-time litigation paralegal to work remotely. We focus on sophisticated advocacy on behalf of victims of identity theft, inaccurate credit reporting and other marketplace injustice.

Paralegal duties will include drafting legal documents and correspondence for attorney review; handling client intake; managing attorney calendars; preparing exhibits and other case materials; researching potential cases; managing and organizing case files and documents; and otherwise assisting attorneys with all aspects of federal court litigation.

At least three years of experience in the legal field is required; the ideal candidate will have additional experience, including experience supporting federal litigation. Applicants should have excellent communication and writing skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Fluency in Spanish or another language (in addition to English) is a plus.

Applicants must have outstanding computer skills, including mastery of advanced functions in Microsoft Word (e.g., tables of contents and authorities, proper formatting, footnotes, headers, footers, mail merge, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat (merging documents, splitting documents, creating pdf forms, editing pdf's etc.). Applicant should also have experience with CRM software, and the ability to touch-type. A short test in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat may be required as a condition of hiring.

Salary is dependent upon experience. To apply, applicants should submit a cover letter and resume. Additionally, a list of three professional references with contact information – including email addresses – should be available upon request.
