Scoreboard:
Increase Social Followers by 10,000 followers per month across TikTok, IG, YouTube & LinkedIn
Repurpose podcast episodes into 15-20 shortform clips
Post 4x per day on IG, TikTok & YouTube Shorts
Increase Podcast Followers by 500 listeners per month

What does success look like?

Take the Ecomm Breakthrough podcast to the next level. This position is responsible for producing and growing the viewership and listenership of the podcast and personal brand of Josh Hadley. You will develop and implement social media plans to grow listeners & followers across platforms, this includes Youtube Shorts,TikTok, Instagram and Twitter.

You bring an enthusiasm for the kind of startup environment that comes with developing a new show, and a spirit of collaboration (you’ll be working with the host Josh Hadley closely, and with our video editor and podcast editor). You help work on all aspects of production, including scheduling guests, pitching topics, shaping ideas, participating in podcast recordings, reviewing content & distributing content via our social channels.

You are detail-oriented, deadline-driven, growth-minded, and comfortable working in both a team and independently. You manage internal teams to achieve the highest standard of assets and deliverables for the company mitigating any/all errors. You have an eye for finding compelling stories/content from the podcasts. An inclination to roll up your sleeves and solve problems—doing whatever is needed to get the job done.

Ultimate success is someone who grows the number of listeners & followers for our podcast & social media channels. They bring curiosity to what’s happening in the ecomm industry and share bold ideas and suggest ways to create more compelling content. You have an exceptional eye for what goes viral for ecomm content online. You understand and apply strategies that grab attention and rope a viewer into a social media video within the first few seconds. You understand and apply strategies that increase viewer engagement throughout the video.

Finally, you are able to review and report video/podcast engagement metrics to understand how we are performing overall.

Primary Objectives 20% BIG ROCKS – These must be done first and at all costs.

1. Manage a CRM with podcast guests making notes for each guest & finding ways to nurture the relationship further
2. Identify clips from episodes that would make good short form content
3. Create & plan social media content calendar
4. Ensure each podcast episode & social media video meets the highest audio quality standards.

Regular Work Activities 80% – These must be done ongoing daily/weekly after the BIG ROCKS are complete.

1. Participate in booking, collecting pre-podcast survey responses and prepping hosts.
2. Finding ways to continue nurturing the relationship between myself and previous guests, sending out touch base emails, gifts, cards, etc.
3. Edit video from the broadcast and turn it into digestible social content
4. Write strong and engaging social copy including trending or opportunity hashtags
5. Write copy for promotional social posts (Ex: Upcoming guests, Podcast, Newsletter, etc.)
6. Pitch, concept, and create original TikToks & Instagram Reels
7. Curate Instagram Story from live studio taping
7. Outreach: The podcast manager will be responsible for reaching out to potential guests
8. Manage Josh’s ecommbreakthrough email account to follow up with podcast guests that need to be booked on the schedule
9. Create & manage post-production plans for all episodes
10. Actively participate in the development of daily content by developing & researching topics for discussion; conceptualize, write and produce appropriate segments
11. Post social media content
12. Respond to comments & DM’s on social media
13. Collaborating with hosts and media teams to meet their vision and clarify storyline when editing interviews into episodes, but also comfortable working autonomously.
14. Participate in episode tapings, including helping direct hosts and guests, logging conversations and identifying potential retracks.
15. Create guidelines & approve final videos/podcasts
16. Maintain & provide weekly reports that reflect the number of social followers & podcast listeners
