Please apply here: ----------

Do you want to work in a remote-first setting with people who love what they do while supporting best-in-class operations automation software, at scale, with an amazing team?

We are looking for a passionate Site Reliability Engineer with a deep-rooted foundation in DevOps and Open Source Technology. The engineer should be passionate about automation and building highly scalable and available services in the cloud.

You will work side-by-side with a team of engineers to build tooling, automation, and support Spinnaker on behalf of our customers for our Managed offering; as well as in support of Armory’s internal engineering and sales teams and their infrastructure needs.

Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering delightful customer experiences while leveraging their sharp technical edge and background. This is a customer-facing role in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment, requiring exceptional soft skills with the bandwidth to prioritize and juggle several customer issues at once.

We believe that working hard is a byproduct of loving what you do and not something that can be measured on a timesheet.

At Armory, you'll work in small, collaborative, remote-first teams, interface directly with customers, and build excellent products that address real problems.

Do you have experience with some or most of the below? We'd love to talk!

1+ years of experience in a software engineering role
Exceptional customer-facing soft skills and proficiency with documentation and digital communications
Experience with enterprise-level application and infrastructure support
Understanding of DevOps lifecycle and concepts, microservice architecture
Experience with cloud service providers (AWS and/or GCP)
Experience with network and security concepts in cloud environments
Experience with Kubernetes
Experience with infrastructure automation tools and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
In this role, you will get a chance to develop software, tools, reusable modules, and scripts for deployments, monitoring, diagnostic, and self-healing services.

Armory uses monitoring and alerting to proactively detect problems before they become an outage. As part of this role, you will be part of moving us along in our monitoring journey to advance our monitoring strategy and tooling.

The main product that you would support is Armory's Managed offering. Armory installs, configures, operates, and supports Armory's self-hosted continuous delivery product, which leverages the open-source Spinnaker product to provide enterprise-grade reliable deployments.

As a part of your responsibilities, you will also be working on support cases that may require assistance during the APAC regional hours. These cases assist our customer dev ops teams who own their own infrastructure and require assistance with configuring and working in Spinnaker.

As our products are hosted primarily in hosted Kubernetes some experience in Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, and Azure will be needed. If you do not have expertise in these specific technologies, you should be proficient in similar technologies and willing to learn.

Our Armory SRE team will also need to partner with product, engineering, support, and technical account managers to ensure customer success. As the role is customer-facing, there will be an on-call rotation as well in service of supporting our SLAs.
