CAD Designer

CAD Designer Duties:

• Skilled CAD operator to support estimating and sales efforts
• Experience with importing equipment details in CAD
• Familiar with operating in viewports in paper space in CAD
• Understanding of scales used in architectural and engineering drawings
• Will generate growth potential by developing equipment layouts in CAD and other software,
estimates, and design proposals
• Will frequently respond to RFP and RFQs

Sales Support Representative Duties:

• Be the first line, inbound, technical support and guidance for our clients, including Architects &
Engineers, General Contractors, and Property Managers
• Create and maintain leads, prospects and all client interactions in our CRM system, including
updating and maintaining information related to technical support
• Work with the Sales and Engineering departments to respond to information requests
• Equipment demonstrations, in person or by “go to meeting”
• Identify new sales potential and pursue new opportunities
• Work with marketing to make technical drawings for marketing purposes

Skills and ability:

• Organized Self-starter
• Ability to focus on details without losing focus of the overall picture
• Enjoys working directly with potential customers and will assist the customers in specifying and
selecting Summit products
• Inclined mechanically
• Understands architectural and structural drawings
• Ability to read situations, to determine best solutions based on Summit’s product line
• Skilled in Outlook, Excel, and ability to work with CRM software
• Other duties as assigned
• Ability to communicate orally with clients, management, and other co-workers
• Hearing and vision within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, to receive ordinary
information and to prepare or inspect documents
• Good manual dexterity for the use of common tools and equipment
• Able to read construction drawings. Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of
design problems
