Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Virtual Assistant (VA) to join our team and help our company, Capital City Commerce, become a top-tier e-commerce business. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks that will be directly related to the growth of the company. We are seeking an individual who is eager to learn and able to fulfill challenging tasks with which you may or may not have any prior experience. We expect this role to require around 20 hours per week to start and there will potentially be more work on top of this in the future. The estimated salary is $300/month at the estimated 20 hours per week and the salary would be negotiated for additional hours worked.
Capital City Commerce began in 2014 as a small e-commerce company that offered novelty household items. We recently invested in state-of-the-art equipment and technology that allow us to offer a much wider variety of products, and because of this we are very excited to scale the business to new levels in 2023. To help us achieve this level of growth, we need someone who is willing to be flexible, learn new processes and software when needed, and, from time to time, have minor changes in job responsibilities as the business requires.
For this VA position, we've identified several extremely important yet time-consuming activities that we've decided to systematize and delegate. We'll have regular communication with you and we believe in providing clear, documented instructions for our employees. As such, we are in the process of documenting what we would like our new Virtual Assistant to do, while recording on a Loom video, how we recommend completing the tasks, and the specific outcomes and reports that we would like to see on a regular basis. Responsibilities:
- Product Design – Create new products for the company to sell. These products are created virtually using graphic design software (Canva, Photoshop, etc.).
- E-Commerce Storefront Management – Ensure product listings are live on all marketplaces (Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy, and others) and assist the business with inventory management by identifying items to restock, remove from warehouses, etc.
- Social Media and Marketing – Assist with online marketing tasks such as creating and managing social media posts on Instagram,

- Wholesale Account Development – Research and compile information on potential business partners. Collect
- Website Management – Manage the company’s direct website and boost the visibility of the site using marketing and SEO campaigns.
- Administrative Support – Provide administrative support to our team, including scheduling,
- Other – Perform other tasks and duties as communicated and assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Virtual Assistant or similar role preferred
- Basic graphic design experience preferred – creating content in sites like Canva or using programs such as Photoshop)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to meet with team members regularly during business hours in Eastern Standard Time
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong internet research skills
- Mastery of Google Docs / Sheets
- Ability to use Zoom and Loom with video conferencing when needed
- Ability to think critically
- Great interpersonal skills
- Good phone /
- Patience and persistence to complete sometimes tedious tasks over and over again each day
