JOB OVERVIEW

UPFRONT DISCLAIMER

WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO DOES EVERYTHING! This is a very specific role for a talented researcher. (P/T to start, and then progress to F/T)

So, let’s keep this simple: YOU MUST LOVE RESEARCH & all that goes with it.

We are seeking a skilled, talented, detail oriented and motivated online researcher to join our team. This position is a foundational element in our product development workflow, so it is critical as well as important that you have a product mindset of experimentation, testing and learning.

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis and gathering information on a wide range of topics, including market trends, competitive analysis, and consumer behavior from a variety of online sources, including websites, databases, and social media platforms

We are planting some seeds and we don’t know which is going to grow into an Oak, therefore you will be researching and proactively investigating on various opportunities and presenting your findings as assigned. And while you will come with your experience, it’s important that you are still curious to learning, and being open to collaboration and training on processes and tools.

Respond to this with “Your Oak Planter here” as the subject line and sign-off signature underneath your name if interested.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the design and implementation of research projects
• Conduct online research to gather information on a variety of topics
• Analyze and evaluate the reliability and relevance of sources
• Summarize information from multiple sources into concise, well-written summaries and present findings
• Stay up-to-date on the latest research techniques and technologies
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple research projects simultaneously

Key Skills
• Strong research skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in using online research tools and databases
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Quick Learner: You must be willing to learn new skills and use online tools to complete work assignments.
• Coachable and open to training

If you are a highly motivated and organized individual with a passion for research, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity with a brief summary of why you are that critical person we are looking for. Be as detailed or as concise as you desire with work examples stating your process and approaches. You can use the 3 step framework below if it makes it easy for you:

1. What types of research projects have you completed previously? With process/approach and tools used
2. What type of manager do you work best with and why?
3. In your opinion, what qualifies you as “THE PERSON” ?

The hiring process will be as follows:

1. Review the entire job post and follow instructions.
2. Promptly respond to email correspondence and confirm receipt of information and emails. If you are qualified, an email reply to your application will include an opportunity for you to demonstrate your research skills by completing a task by the set deadline.
3. Complete the task by the set deadline (PAID)
4. Invitation to complete a one-week trial (PAID)
5. Invitation to a Zoom video meeting and interview (This is a must. Looking for a long term employee, we will not proceed if we cannot have a video chat/interview)
6. Invitation to join our project long-term.

NOTE: As ex freelancers and founders, we are choosing to pay for the task/engagement time because we believe that your time is valuable and should not be misused, treating people the way we would have liked to be treated. So while we will look at all applications, we will be limiting our selection to only 3-5 candidates to do a 1 week trial with, and only 2 will make it to the Zoom interview. We will hire 1 or potentially both if impressed.

We are looking for Part time to start, only because we want to make sure we are both happy with working with one another. this job will move quickly to full time if you are a rockstar, and the Salary will be upgraded accordingly
