Universal Fans is an Australian based retail business based in Melbourne specialising in ceiling fans and ventilation products, with multiple e-commerce stores.
The role
We're looking for a candidate with high levels of attention to detail to work in a remote employment capacity. You will assist the marketing team by contributing in areas of graphic design, as well as content creation and maintenance. We operate numerous Wordpress / Woocommerce websites, experience with this CMS whilst not essential would be highly regarded.
Main Responsibilities
• Working alongside Marketing director to create and amend assets such as brochures, spec sheets, catalogues and product packaging. The vast majority of assets are produced from an existing template.
• Assist with creation of digital assets including sales banners, imagery to support blog content such as infographics and social media graphics.
• Reformatting and resizing product images and saving them for website use.
• Day to day maintenance tasks including working with the CMS system across multiple websites, adding new products, updating prices, performing basic content updates.
• Adding and amending product listings on the EBAY platform.
• Writing high quality content including product and category descriptions.
Requirements
• Positive and proactive attitude.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Creative suite, including photoshop, indesign and illustrator. Existing materials are created using this software.
• High level of organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and high level of written English in order to provide quality written content.
• Experience using Wordpress / WooCommerce or similar CMS system preferred.
• Experience/proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Basic knowledge of SEO would be advantageous but not essential.
Job details
- As we are based in Melbourne Australia, your working hours will be business days Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (AEST – GMT+10). You will not be working on Melbourne public holidays. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to these hours.
- You will be employed as a contractor on a 12-month contract arrangement.
- It is essential you have a home office set up, which includes a reliable and secure internet connection, and required equipment (which mainly includes a computer, appropriate software as well as access to Zoo
