We are looking to hire a talented and experienced Video Editor to join our busy production team. This position will be responsible for assembling recorded film and video footage, applying artistic editing techniques and creating finished, broadcast-worthy projects that accurately reflect the vision of the company's brand.
Matching the brands look and feel is critical to this role.
To ensure success as a video editor, you should have expert knowledge of modern and clean video editing techniques, be able to visualize directorial concepts and work according to a strict time schedule. Ultimately, a top-notch video editor can perfectly translate a Creative Lead's idea into a beautifully crafted film or video piece, worthy of broadcasting.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with our Creative Lead to match the content edits with the company workflow
• Edit all incoming original content
• Create new content out of old content
• Manipulating film and video footage using modern editing techniques.
• Maintaining continuity while moving shots according to scene value.
• Ensuring the project follows a logical sequence.
• Inserting dialog, sound effects, music, graphics, and special effects.
• Research, all trending editing techniques, curation, and design styles
• Consulting with the director and production team throughout the project.
• Creating the final cut for broadcasting.
Requirements
• Experience in film studies, cinematography, or related field.
• Previous work experience as a video editor
• Must have prior social media editing experience with examples of prior work
• Must be able to meet English test interview via Zoom
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work with large volumes of content
• Excellent proficiency in writing English is required
• The capability of multitasking and working on multiple projects at the same time
• Strong time management skills, excellent verbal and communication skills
• Creative and artistic skills.
• High level of attention to detail and strong follow-through
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability for tasks and projects
• Ability to fully commit 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Must have stable internet connection of at least 3-5MBPS
• Familiarity with 3D composition and special effects.
• Ability to translate ideas into complete projects.
• Must have experience with editing software, preferably with Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier & After Effects, and Canva.
