Marketing Media Manager

* SOFX Inc., is a media-based information technology company with an overall mission to provide information and connectivity of extreme value to special operators and a global network of high influence people to fight evil and avert suffering at scale.
* The company began self-publication of a daily email newsletter and web-based news site covering topics including the global special operations community and personal empowerment.
* Currently seeking an experienced and dependable Marketing Media Manager to lead newsletter publication process and content and manage social media platforms and other distribution channels to ensure the organization’s objectives. Will oversee the Content Writing & Graphic Design teams.

The Compensation
$650 USD/Month

The Role
* Manage and coordinate a daily newsletter publication for a 365-days-a-year operation with a range of content and topics including the Military, United States Government, Special Operations Forces, International Relations, United States Defense Department, Cyber Security, and Emerging Technology.
* Direct and manage the daily work of the Content Writing and Graphic Design teams.
* Copyedit, proofread and improve Content Writer's content creation.
* Develop strategy and content for dissemination via social media, websites, and other distribution channels.
* Manage content distribution to online channels and social media platforms to increase web traffic.
* Build and manage the organization's social media profile and presence.
* Collaborate with the Graphic Design team to plan and develop site content, style and layout.
* Manage advertising schedule and coordination based on client terms and target audience.
* Supervise the editor inbox and newsletter customer service and respond to or escalate all subscriber feedback and concerns.

The Background Profile
* Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, English, Advertising or other related field
* 3+ years proven work experience with a newsletter publication and managing social media platforms
* Strong working knowledge in MS Office, Sharepoint and Wordpress
* Experience using Sendinblue a plus
* Ability to work some evening hours as required with increased workload near the end of the business week due to time-sensitive nature of the newsletter publication schedule
* Must have advanced proficiency in English writing, editing and speaking (e.g. spelling, grammar, punctuation, and proofreading)
* Understanding of relevant or applicable U.S. copyright laws including paraphrasing, expression of ideas, and image sourcing
* Strong leadership and management skills
* Strong sense of urgency and time management in both tasks and communication; takes initiative, anticipates needs, and gets things done consistently on time
* Desire to exceed expectations, and reflect positively on the brand
* Excellent judgment, analytical skills and strong attention to detail
