Junior Video Editor

The ideal candidate will have Junior Video Editing experience including:

Responsibilities:
1. Scrubbing / Stringouts: You will be responsible for going through production footage shot each day and finding the good video/audio clips that are usable and placing them on a new timeline timeline sequence for quick reference.

2. Putting Together Scenes: You will be responsible for putting together rough-cut scenes based on director’s notes, shot lists, and scripts. Then, taking the stringout clips and compiling the storyline for scenes and acts for the tv show.

3. Scene Enhancements: You will have the option to clean up or enhance scenes that may not flow as well as they could. This means, you can move around footage, soundbites, broll, or add sound effects to make for a better scene. You can do this using footage, or source from our library of sound effects.

4. Video and Audio Syncing: You will be responsible for lining up audio and video files using timecode sync. Sometimes, timecode is not added to footage…. So if timecode sync is NOT on the files, you must match and sync audio using clapper or similar video / audio sync methods, so everything matches.

We encourage all editors to communicate storylines and enhancements. Working together will make for better results.

You must use Adobe Premiere Pro for editing.

You must have a good internet connection to download proxy files.

You will be editing with proxy files that are much lower resolution than original files, so you can edit fast.

Once editing is done, we re-connect adobe premiere pro project files with the original media.

You will NOT be allowed to rename the proxy files in your ---------- anging names will break the file links.

We shoot all video in Vlog so it will not have any LUTs added to the video. You can use your own LUTs if you want for editing purposes, but you must NOT burn it into the project file.

Color correction and on-lining will be done by someone else after projects are completed.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in video editing with adobe premiere pro.
• Must be able to develop storylines from footage provided to you.
• Must know basic color correction and audio correction.
• Must know how to timecode sync footage.

• Slack

You must have some examples of your video editing skills. We want to see how you cut things together.
