JOB OVERVIEW

Hello! We are looking for a full-time hire that will run our new Sales and Marketing function!

We are a Florida-based company with a 35+ year history of selling beautiful, exotic plants to hundreds of stores across the U.S.! Our 20-person team operates a B2B model, where we wholesale our products to plant nurseries, supermarkets, florists, designers, etc. (we do NOT sell directly to consumers). Historically, we have consistently averaged $3 million in sales with NO outbound sales ---------- 's time for us to break through this ceiling!

Minimum requirements (Hard Skills):
- You have a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding your sales targets
- You have experience overseeing, training and coaching tea ---------- mbers to achieve big, collective results
- You are highly knowledgeable in the key areas of a Sales and Marketing department: i.e. researching, creating and refining effective lead lists; crafting marketing materials and campaigns; and preparing and refining sales processes and scripts for both short and long sales cycles
- You are familiar with techniques for moving prospects from cold to warm to closed leads and modern day best-practices in technology and automation we can use for improving our conversion rate
- You can document processes and SOPs for your function

Minimum requirements (Soft Skills):
- You have high integrity, are extremely trustworthy, and maintain absolute confidentiality of our business
- You are an optimistic problem solver who can overcome setbacks by refining your strategy and approach for a better outcome on your next try / conversation
- You are a natural at establishing upfront rapport and building relationships with other people; in other words, you are a relaxed, friendly and easy-going conversationalist who is highly comfortable with American customers!
- You are an excellent listener capable of identifying:
- - what TYPE of person you are speaking with (personality type)
- - WHAT your prospect's needs, challenges and pain points are
- - HOW they need to be presented a solution (based on their personality type) to be most receptive to it
- You can quickly think on your feet in the middle of a conversation
- You are focused on building long-term, win-win relationships, rather than short-term sales
