Amazon Logistics Coordinator

We are Looking for someone to manage inventory for an Amazon FBA business in just a few hours per week after an initial period of setting up systems and automation processes.

We currently have roughly 15 SKUs imported from China and will continue to add more in the upcoming ---------- is possible that this role could grow to include other Amazon VA tasks with additional hours, but inventory management experience with Amazon is absolutely the KEY skill we are looking ---------- ndidates who read the entire job post and answer the questions will be much more likely to be considered for the job than those who reply with a generic resume.


Specifically, we need someone to handle the following tasks:

Demand Estimation

Using previous sales history, keyword search volume analysis, seasonality trends, and competitor history, we will need you to estimate future demand to allow for efficient inventory management.

This can be done with software - currently, we have SoStocked inventory management software, but are open to other softwares if you have a different ---------- your response, please note if you are familiar with SoStocked and if not which inventory management software you prefer.

Purchase Order Planning

The POs themselves will be automatically generated, but you will be expected to determine when and how much quantity to order. You will be expected to minimize shipping & warehousing costs while also ensuring we do not go out of ---------- your response, please describe how you have balanced the need for minimizing costs and preventing stock issues. Do you have specific metrics that you use? If not, what strategies do you employ?

Seek Opportunities for Consolidation

Many of our products are produced by different suppliers. You will be expected to look out for opportunities to consolidate overseas shipments of multiple SKUs for cost savings.

We have a freight forwarder that we work with who you can work with as well to help discover opportunities in this ---------- your response, please describe some challenges often faced when consolidating shipments from different suppliers and how you manage them.

Coordinating 3rd party warehouse to FBA shipments

Our products are held in a 3rd party warehouse and then dripped into FBA. You will be expected to monitor Amazon stock and create shipments to send inventory from our 3PL warehouse to Amazon.

You will need to factor in receiving times, demand, etc. You will also be trying to improve the Amazon "Inventory Performance Index" by maintaining a high sell through rate and a low out of stock rate while at the same time minimizing inbound shipping ---------- your opinion, what are some key factors to improve IPI on Amazon?

Monthly Inventory Reconciliation

Cross checking our 3PL inventory report with our own data on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.

Hours & Rate

After an initial setup period where we coordinate our systems to get on the same page, we don’t expect this to require more than 5 hours per week. If you believe it may require more, please tell us how much more time and why. (We ARE looking for a candidate who will give their own opinions instead of just agreeing, so if you disagree and make a strong case for why it will be viewed as a positive for your application).

We are looking to pay up to $10/hr for this position depending on experience level.
