US Tax Accountant (Tax Preparation, Tax Planning & Bookkeeping)

LYFE Taxes is an established accounting firm in the U.S. and we are looking for a full-time tax accountant based in the Philippines who understands the United States tax code/law.

Job Description:

This position requires a highly experienced tax professional in business and individual tax preparation and planning. The job is fully remote and we have systems in place for this to be easily accomplished. As our firm grows, leadership is key to this role. While at this ---------- nt you will have no reports, we foresee our firm expanding into building a team.


Responsibilities:

- Tax Return Preparation: prepare business (Schedule C, S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnerships) and individual tax returns; present approved returns to clients, response to emails
- Tax Planning & Advisory: work closely with clients to obtain personal information regarding potential deductions, educational grants, etc; present Tax Plans to clients.
- Financial Statements: review statements quarterly, analyze for business performance and provide consultative guidance to clients.
- Manage Bookkeeping and/or consult clients on how to use Quickbooks.
- Research tax law publications for guidance on unusual situations.
- Proactively remaining aware of changes to tax law and new compliance standards

Experience, Knowledge, And Skills:

- 5+ years of business and individual tax return preparation experience.
- CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification preferred. but not required.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn tax planning and preparation software such as Corvee, Pro Series, Tax Slayer & more.
- Quickbooks and/or cloud-based accounting software experience.
- Ability to prioritize daily tasks and meet timely obligations with multiple clients.
- Professional experience working with confidential and sensitive information.
