Billing Specialist

Our company is a remote platform that provides mental health counseling services via video and telephone. We work with a broad demographic population that suffers from a wide range of mental illnesses. We are looking for a Billing Specialist who is fluent in English, highly organized, culturally competent, a great communicator, energetic, hardworking and has experience submitting insurance claims and working with health insurance companies. The working hours for this position are Monday through Friday, 10 AM—7 PM CST. A highly reliable internet and remote capability is required.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

- Verifying patient's health insurance coverage.

- Credentialing new providers to health insurance panels.

- Submitting insurance claims within 24 hours of services provided.

- Troubleshooting rejected claims.

- Send invoice statements to clients, follow up with payment issues (outstanding private pay, co-pay, or coinsurance), and preauthorization requests.

- Reconcile insurance claims, update electronic health records system to reflect client payments, prepare/maintain reports, etc.

- Persistent follow-up on submitted claims till they are processed and closed.

- Keep the status of all claims submitted up to date on daily tracking reports.

- All other duties assigned within the capacity, scope, and experience of the Contractor’s abilities.
