Uphold Global is looking for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager who can efficiently manage projects and effectively communicate with the Head of Operations. As a company, our ultimate goal is to partner with small businesses and entrepreneurs with great ideas and provide them with the support to grow profitably by improving the operational management systems, processes, and practices.
As the Assistant Operations Manager, here are some of your duties and responsibilities:
- Develop a thorough understanding of how the companies operate, support and how individual teams and departments work independently and collectively
- Streamline employee-related processes (such as recruitment, onboarding, training, appraising, etc.)
- Work closely with the Head of Operations to set and/or implement policies, procedures and systems and to follow through with implementation
- Provide recommendations and implement improvement plans for improving the operational management systems, workflows and organizational charts, standard operating procedures, processes, and practices.
- Responsible for managing paperwork flow and accounting procedures, as well as providing support as needed to the Operations Manager.
- The ideal candidate will be excellent at time management, focused, and a good team player with a keen attention to detail.
- Projects are primarily involving ecommerce websites, so experience in ecommerce is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel in data manipulation and analytics is a must-have (can do advanced formulas and VBA/Macro scripting)
- Experience in E-commerce industry is an asset.
- A passion to learn with a teachable + positive attitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Experience with QuickBooks, online project management tools and any CRM is a plus
- A fast learner and driven to help make an impact
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form in English.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking skills.
- Highly organized, accurate and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
- Able to work in fast paced environment.

There will be systems and training in place to help you learn and grow, but we are looking for someone who can help us build on them.
