I am looking for a SEO assistant that can supplement what I do as an agency here in the US. I've been in business for 5+ years for myself doing most of the work myself but I am beginning to build out a team. I have a web developer on staff to do much of the implementation but I need someone to help on the SEO side, structure/design pages with SEO in mind and analyze how to improve existing content.
You will be working 1 on 1 with me and will have a lot of freedom and input as we refine our processes. I am very motivated to train and help you grow your knowledge around websites and SEO. I have 2 upcoming projects that you will be starting on. My intentions are for this to be a very long-term position for the right person although it may start out as a 2-4 month position to get these projects completed on time as I am busy with others.
I mostly use Gsuite products like Google docs and sheets, as well as some SEO tools like Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and more.
Requirements:
-English must be great, both written and verbal. We will 100?communicating in English between you, myself, and my developer. Errors because of language barriers need to be as low as possible.
-Good communicator! We will be likely working on opposite timezones for the majority of the time. I do work some nights and will be available when needed through Zoom or other online meetings. I also record videos using Loom to help explain tasks better. Good communication, both written and verbal is very important for us have success together.
-Good time/project management - I give priorities as best as I can but you need to be able to stay on schedule yourself and be able to identify what is the best use of your time. You should be able to roughly estimate how long a task should take and get it done as expected instead of wasting extra hours with minimal benefit.
-Be reliable and show up - I am flexible what hours you can work, I understand taking a day or two off here and there, and understand emergencies happen. But I also need work to get done. I can’t have people no-showing with a small team when tasks are expected to be done.
- Attention to detail - We're often working on front-facing customer websites so details are extremely important. We do plenty of editing in Google docs but can’t have errors on client sites. These need to be caught before updates go live.
- Writing - Meta titles and descriptions, service page content and full blog posts will definitely be something you’ll be writing. May also write some Google posts / Social media posts depending on the client's needs.
- Google Sheets / Excel - Most data that will come out of our SEO tools will be in spreadsheet form. You need basic excel and data entry skills, organizing columns/rows, and such.
- SEO knowledge - Solid fundamentals are needed. I will have some 101 training but I need someone to have a good depth of knowledge, be curious about learning, adapt to our methods AND be able to figure out “what’s working” now when sites are struggling to rank higher. We'll be walking you through our strategies as you work on various projects.
-Google Adwords experience not required but I am potentially bringing on Adwords clients in 2023. This may be a separate hire but not needed at the
