JOB OVERVIEW

DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY CLIENT: MULTINATIONAL PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANY
POSITION: PRODUCT MANAGER (CARDIO)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall Objectives
Plan, organize, evaluate and manage the life cycle of assigned Extensive knowledge of products within portfolio product categories to achieve of targeted performance. Applies sales, marketing and brand management to ensure delivery of product management services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketing and Business Planning

· Develops short and long term plans, analyzes market research findings, prepares budget, evaluates inventory requirements, designs promotional campaigns
· Integrates management inputs to establish the strategic direction of the product in terms of profit, sales, market share, growth and desired product positioning in the market
· Anticipates price movements and recommends appropriate resource allocation and strategy to outmaneuver competition.
· Ensures that all programs under the marketing plan provide optimal return on investment (ROI).
· Effectively integrates and incorporates key business factors to strategically manage assigned product
2. Product Performance Management and Evaluation

· Manages and oversees the execution of programs and strategies defined in the marketing plan
· Designs, installs, interprets, takes constructive actions to address results of tools for tracking and evaluating overall product and programs performance
· Forecasts sales, expenses and inventory; assess, aligns and monitors implementation of localized marketing programs to improve product performance in the market based on set objectives and targets
· Continuously tracks implementation of performance outcomes and deliverables of marketing plans and evaluate their relevance and effectiveness versus targets.
3. Brand Management
· Plans strategies, evaluates, aligns and integrates factors for effective product branding,
· Optimizes pricing based on market dynamics;
· Facilitates adaptation of product packaging to local setting;
· Manages product life cycle in view of initiatives for new indications, extensions, modifications and other life cycle strategies to ensure efficient and strategic branding of the assigned product
4. Promotional and Educational Campaigns
· Develops, plans, oversees execution of concepts and oversees production and distribution of marketing kits, tools and paraphernalia;
· Projects and sets manageable volume of inventory, negotiate and set cost, delivery schedule and output specifications.
· Oversees implementation of speakers’ forums and other programs for the Opinion Leader Development Programs (OLDP) to effectively impart knowledge and disseminate information about the product through strategic promotional and educational campaigns
5. Market Research
· Facilitates implementation of market intelligence strategies; gathers, validates and analyzes competitive market information
· Sets parameters and directs execution of market research to effectively monitor shifts in the market and be able to redirect and re-align promotional programs
6. Project Management
· Plans, leads, organizes, directs and manages events related to pre-launch, launching, regular PM functions and other special projects;
· Ensures effective resource management and allocation, and takes appropriate measures to drive efficient execution versus sales and profitability targets
· Addresses logistical and administrative requirements to ensure availability of necessary resources to ensure that project objectives, goals and schedules are realized
7. Network Building
· Establishes contacts, form affiliations, makes proper representation of the company and participates in meetings, conventions and network building opportunities to be abreast with evolving market trends and needs

QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 3 years Product Management experience - handling Cardio line
- Bachelors Degree
