My name is Richard and I'm the CEO of Impact Clients.
We have 2 different divisions of our company:
B2B Division - We consult for coaches / consultants and help them scale their business to 7-8 figures / year.
B2C Division - We train and certify people into appointment setters, and then place them within a company to help them achieve a 4-8K/mo income job.
Together - our goal is to reach $100M/year in sales and reform the education system over the coming 3 - 5 years.
We are looking to fill a unique role for a leadership position that is a combination of: Writing copy AND leading others.
Why?
Because we're creating a DFY copywriting division in our company to write copy (ghostwriting and Instagram story slides) for our clients, and we are looking for someone who can:
1. Write good copy him/herself
2. MORE important - manage, build, and lead a team of copywriters( good on spreadsheets, reading data, making decisions, running meetings, skillset of hiring / firing / conducting interviews, etc.)
**Clarification on copywriting. This is not hard core, direct response copywriting where you write VSLs and literally every sentence and word matters. Honestly, it's more "content" writing, which is where you're writing posts in the voice of the influencer, documenting things, and then including CTAs at the bottom of the content. Think of it as "ghostwriting."
So yes - it's copywriting, but it's not hardcore intense copywriting. Read my Instagram
This is NOT your traditional "freelance writing" gig where you write one
This position will START as you as a copywriter within our company to LEARN our processes, but the goal is to transition you to become a copywriter LEAD within 30-60 days so that you can build a team of copywriters underneath you, to fulfill for copywriting for our clients.
So again - if you just want to add "Richard Yu" as a client to your client base, likely not for you. We're looking for someone who see's the value of FOCUS (Follow ONE course until successful, not 4 lol), the value of going ALL IN with one team and growing as a leader within our organization.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
--Most importantly this role will require you to learn the voice of Richard Yu, as 100% of the copy you write will be ghost-written on his behalf. Being able to tap into emotions, talk about vulnerabilities, and write in a way that clearly communicates his thoughts will be the MOST important skillset you have here.
-- Write daily post (2000 characters or so) for content on feed/email/stories
-- Script out IG stories and reels to drive engagement and leads. This is pretty much you writing the copy and choosing creatives that accompany the stories (we can train you on this)
Secondary Responsibilities (Transition to full time role by day 30 upon hire, in which you'll be working 40-50 hours/week):
--Speak with sales team on a daily basis to determine if content written is performing, and receiving feedback to make adjustments for content for the following day.
-- Conduct daily research for content to post for the following day (researching viral content on Instagram)
-- Work directly with a video editor/graphics designer to ensure that content visuals that they produce are complementary to the copywriting that you write.
-- Writing weekly ad creative copy (around 3-5 new ads, or as needed) for
-- You will be responsible for daily REPORTING on communication channels (slack + spreadsheets, and so a HIGH attention to detail and compliance with standard operating procedures is essential. About 10 minutes of reporting /day to ensure you are tracking KPIs and progressing in your role.
-- You will have daily sales/marketing standup meetings to analyze performance of content and make decisions for how to improve content.
This role will start part time (roughly 20-30 hours/week), and over the course of the first 30 days, will ramp up into a full time position, which will require 8 hours/day, 5 days/week (Monday - Friday) by day 30. If you're really hungry, you might put in the work on Saturdays as well, though not required (I work 6 days/week myself).
CST / EST is the time zone that we are in.
WHO THIS IS NOT FOR:
-- If you have NO real-world experience with copywriting / content writing (THEORY is not enough...you must either have been a freelance copywriter, worked in an agency/similar online biz, or promoted your own offers)
-- If you are not willing to go ALL IN with our company, and like to have multiple jobs, this is not for you.
-- If you are not willing to work some weekends, or a few extra hours because the team needs you, this is not for you.
-- If you do not like to work hard, work fast, and collaborate in a team environment, do not apply.
-- If you cannot handle a critical, demanding environment where your CEO (Richard) will be tough on you when giving you constructive criticism to build you into a better tea
***NO SIDE HUSTLES ARE ALLOWED. If you are on my team, you will be earning more money than you've ever made in the past, but that ONLY comes with hard work and focus.
***Note on above: We understand that if you are moving from a side hustle/your own business in which you have multiple clients to provide income for you/your family, that it's difficult to make a hard shift to 100% exclusive with us from day 1, because you don't know if you can create income with us yet. So we have a 30 day transition policy, which means that if you are performing well and generating income from your role with us, by day 30 we ask that you discontinue your side hustle to go ALL IN with

Compensation:
This will vary largely depending on the skillset that you have. A "soft" range of 40-80K USD / year range is set, however this will largely depend on the existing skillset that you bring.

STEP 1: Record a 3 minute video (NO LONGER) and upload it to Youtube as an UNLISTED video (make sure that I will be able to view the video, and that it is NOT on private). Inside the video, answer these questions:
1) Tell me a bit about yourself
2) Why should we hire you?
3) Describe what companies AND products you have written copy for in the past? (coaching/consulting/agency or high ticket services preferred)
4) Describe an instance that you displayed a HIGH attention to detail.
5) Explain why you would PREFER to work with one client (us), as opposed to working with multiple clients in writing copy for them.
6) Explain your plan for long term growth with us if hired, and why you would commit for a full 12 months minimum as opposed to jumping ship.
STEP 2: Write a 1 page letter explaining why you're the best fit for this role.
STEP 3: We will ask you to create one test piece of copy for us AND one example story slide sequence to see your current skillset, instructions found below in application.
STEP THREE (pt. 1): Study the current content that Richard puts out on his Instagram

STEP FOUR: We're not looking for a "world class" copywriter. Most copywriters SUCK at managing because they're artists and not operators. I would rather hire a B copywriter who understands how to run a proper 45 minute tea
