Web Development Project Manager

We're looking for a project manager to oversee web development projects. From design project to programming projects and combinations or both.

You should be reliable, available to eventually work full time and have at least a few years experience in this field. Experience as a project manager would be an asset but the most important thing is that you have knowledge of the following:

-PHP / MYSQL programming
-Wordpress
-LAMP environments
-Graphic design
-HTML / CSS.

It would be ideal to find a candidate that can oversee a team and see projects to their completion before deadlines.

Someone who aims to succeed and will not accept anything less from himself and the team that they oversee.

You will be managing a team of virtual contractors working worldwide and as you can imagine, that comes with challenges.

Managing virtual contractors is not like managing in-house workers. So experience managing virtual teams would be an asset.

You must be a gifted people person and know how to treat these types of workers. The type of people that work from home such as these usually are not motivated the same way in-house workers are and so you have to realize that and have experience with that.

Someone that has knowledge of all the above and has some knowledge of programming / coding / graphic design would be ideal so that if needed, you can help out in the project. That would ideally not be needed but it sometimes necessary because of the nature of virtual team. You should be dedicated enough to the successful completion of the project that you will do whatever is necessary to complete it in time and deliver :)

So needless to say that we're looking for someone that is self-motivated, reliable, results-oriented and persistent.

We're a growing web development company embarking on a new venture that should increase our work volume in the next months. You should be ok to start with only a few hours a week and then grow with us.

So far it's been only myself, owner of the company that has been acting as project manager so what I'm looking for is someone that can replace this aspect of myself so I can instead focus on growing the company instead of managing projects. So you will be working closely with me and reporting directly to me. You'll be my right hand so to speak.

So I'm looking for someone for the long term and who will be ok to have an assistant project managers working with them and teaching them so that eventually we can grow even further and also have someone available when you want to take vacations etc.
