The Position
We are looking for a Full-time Bookkeeper!

You will be the next addition to our dynamic team. This role is responsible for recording the company’s financial transactions and reporting on financial KPIs. Working knowledge in the general accounting principles, accounting cycle and financial analysis are a must for this job. The best fit for this position must ensure that all deliverables are done with superior quality at the expected time frame and at the full satisfaction of our clients.

Duties (but not limited to):
1. Check and create Chart of Accounts
2. Gather and safekeep all transaction documents with utmost confidentiality
3. Record all financial transactions accurately
4. Generate and submit Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Cash Flow on a timely basis to the Owner
5. Conduct bank reconciliation
6. Monitor the funds of the business
7. Generate basic financial analysis for forecasting and decision making
8. Calculate annual budget and report variances
9. Communicate financial issues to the Owner on a timely manner
10. Prepare and send billing statements to clients
11. Manage payments of invoices to suppliers/service providers
12. Work closely with the local Accountant for tax preparation and reporting
13. Must communicate effectively with the team
14. End of day reporting

What We Are Looking For
1. Can work 40-hours a week at Atlantic Time (Canada)
2. Must be a graduate of accounting or business-related courses
3. Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online and willing to learn other accounting software
4. Proficient in Microsoft and Google
5. Extremely high attention to detail and accuracy
6. Able to manage sensitive information with utmost confidentiality
7. Trustworthy
8. Self-driven and able to work without immediate supervision
9. Good analytical skills
10. Have superior problem-solving skills
11. Have a friendly, collaborative approach
12. Have high ethical standards and commitment to client success
13. Be committed to learn and continue to grow with the business over time
