Mid-Level to Senior Java Developer

Malogica Solutions is a newly founded Portuguese software company. The owner and CEO of the company has been developing software and consulted many projects himself for more than 30 years.

We specialize in enterprise web development, big data and cloud solutions, using open
source frameworks like Spring and Angular. Past and current clients include GfK SE, DATEV
eG, GETINGE AB, Porsche AG and other global players as well as many local small and
medium sized businesses.

We are looking for a Mid-Level to Senior Java Developer with at least 5-6 years of experience.

As a Mid-Level/Senior Java Developer, you will:
-Work collaboratively with the development team to get a feel for and learn about the
Malogica development process.
-Clone Git code repositories and configure development environments running Java
Spring Boot/Cloud/Data micro services on containerized platforms like Docker and/or
Kubernetes.
-Model and implement intricate data structures for relational databases such as
PostgreSQL as well as NoSQL databases like MongoDB, utilizing Spring Data/JPA.
-Develop high-volume, low-latency services for mission-critical systems and deliver
high-availability and performance.
-Write complex Java micro services following client specifications while maintaining a
high level of unit test coverage to catch and prevent feature regressions.
-Help setup and run projects in production environments on Linux with Docker and/or
Kubernetes.
-Deploy your changes to staging environments frequently so clients see progress and
feel connected to the process.
-Perform code reviews and use the gitflow branching model to stay in sync with the
team.
-Follow agile development methodologies and take part in weekly team scrums as
well as daily standup meetings.

Malogica Solutions is looking for a professional Mid-Level/Senior Java Developer who:
-Obtained BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.
-Enjoys working on a small team and is excited to build highly customized web
applications.
-Has a strong grasp of Java development techniques as well as an in-depth knowledge
of the Spring Framework.
-Possesses good delegation and time management skills as well as problem-solving
abilities.
-Acquired fluent written and spoken English skills.
