I run 6 DUI (Driving Under the Influence) lawyer websites and I need a dedicated web content writer to write 500-word articles on DUI law. I need someone who can write at least ten (20) 500-word articles each week for the next 6 months. If you can write more than 20 per week, that is awesome!
Here is one of my websites that you can look at:
http://www.drunkdrivingdefense.com/
Page topics will include things like field sobriety tests, dui law, bail bonds, how court works, and what are the penalties for a DUI conviction. I know it will take time to learn U.S. DUI law, and I don't expect you to learn it in 2 weeks. You will learn as you go. What I need is fresh copy that you created, not copies of text from other websites. You will have to read through my 6 sites and some of my competitors' sites, and then take the same topic and write something original.
I will help you each step of the way. I am a writer too, and I can coach you on grammar and spelling if you need it. When you send me a written article, I will edit it and send it back so you can learn the style I am looking for.
This is a long-term project that will last for 6 months minimum and over 2 - 3 years easily. I am looking for 2 writers full-time instead of 10 writers part-time. Too many writers is too hard to keep up with, and each writer will have a unique style, which means the website will not flow well. I am available 7 days a week and evenings, and will respond to your questions same day at the latest. As you become more comfortable writing for me, we can email less often.
The type of client I am trying to attract with these websites is a male 24 - 29 years old, who has the money to hire a DUI attorney. My attorneys are not cheap so nowhere in the copy can we talk about being the "affordable lawyer." Our attorneys charge $6,000 - $20,000 to take a case.
Your writing needs to be in the classic "problem-solution" style. For example, the male described above has the problem of just been arrested for DUI and he needs a good lawyer FAST! His court date will come up very soon. This is probably his first DUI and he knows nothing about what to do next. So we have to educate him on what steps to take, how the court system works, and what are the penalties if he is convicted. The solution is that we know what to do, we know the court system very well, and we know how to win his case.
The field of DUI law is very competitive. There are lots of DUI lawyers competing for the same potential clients. The lawyers who have the most success getting clients online are the ones who explain the legal process in easy-to-understand language, who write short sentences and use everyday words, and who put bulleted lists and diagrams on the page. But the copy can't be too simple because we also have to let the client know that we thoroughly understand DUI law. We do this by including legal terms, and we assure the client that we know all the judges and prosecutors.
I will send you samples of my best pages and some of my competitors' best pages so you can see the quality we must have.
I will always be here to explain and answer questions. I want to work with a writer who has the intelligence to eventually understand DUI law, who is motivated to write a lot of pages, and who will stick with me for many months.
I don't expect you to be able to produce 20 pages per week in the beginning. You may only be able to write 3, and then next week 6, then 10, etc... But eventually I need 80 pages minimum every 30 days (20 or more each week).
The chosen writer will have the following preferred experience:
* At least 4 years of web content writing experience
* Legal website content experience is desired, or other business to consumer writing experience
* Proof of writing for a U.S. well-known, quality website (you provide samples)
* Lawyer website writing experience preferred (you provide samples)
* A self-starter who can work without supervision once you are up to speed
* Someone with patience, a strong interest in learning U.S. law, and who submits pages that require minimal editing
* Someone familiar with U.S. English and spellings, and common phrases
* Someone who is welcomes constructive feedback and wants to improve their writing ability
