Technology Manager for IT online training provider

About the Role
The Technology Manager is responsible for
Ensuring the smooth operation of the online learning platform
Troubleshooting issues with the online learning platform
Lead and coordinate technology related projects (new features/products)
Technical support for escalations from the account management and customer support team
Continuous improvement of our online learning platform (optimization)

In this role, you’ll get to:

Create and deliver the technology strategy in consultation with the CEO
Lead internal and external technical team (e.g. development, SysOps)
Select and productize technology solutions to meet business needs
Review products or systems to determine their potential value to the company
Ensure systems and processes meet privacy and security requirements
Hiring technology staff such as developers on a permanent or temporary basis

Key Project:

Initially the Technology Manager will be heavily involved with helping us to migrate to a new SaaS based LMS. This will involve:
Evaluating multiple SaaS LMS vendors and helping d ---------- the optimum solution
Planning the migration of content, users, subscriptions etc.
Overseeing the migration execution
Leading staff and vendors involved in the project

We are looking for a growth seeker who has experience and skills in:
eCommerce solutions including WooCommerce, Stripe, and PayPal
Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as LearnDash and similar SaaS offerings
Systems management, operations and development processes
WordPress websites and related hosting platforms
Performance management / optimization for systems

Even better if you have experience in:
Cloud technology services such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
High-level programming skills and experience working with developers
Integration with 3rd party systems (e.g. CRMs) using custom plugins, code, or tools (e.g. Zapier)

You’ll collaborate with:

CEO/CMO for consultation on business strategy
3rd party companies such as hosting providers and operations management
Technology staff including developers and operations admins
Content manager for adding/updating educational content
Marketing department for adding/updating Marketing/SEO related content
