Sr. Backend Engineer

Pentos is a TikTok analytics tool based in the US. We are hiring a backend engineer to manage our TikTok data connections, build data connectors with other tools, oversee our growing database, and ensure our tools are functioning properly.

We have a systems engineer in the US that can give regular advice on the correct architecture and frameworks. We are looking to hire a full-time, remote engineer to own and manage our entire backend. The ideal candidate will have experience with web scraping technologies.

To succeed in this role, you need to be able to take the product requirements and determine the best solution so solve the problem. We are looking for an experienced engineer that we can build our team around for years to come. You will work directly with the CEO and build the company's vision of becoming the best enterprise TikTok analytics platform.

Tech stack:
Our tools are built with Node.JS using typescript.
We use Bree for chron jobs
Our database is planetscale (mySQL)
BullMQ is used for background jobs
Zyte is used for IP web rotation
Needle is an HTTP request library
Fastify is used for scraping
The tools are hosted on Fly

The front end is built in React.
