Comptroller/Bookkeeper

Overview

We’re looking for an accountant that can take on the role of Comptroller/Bookkeeper for an Ecommerce Company that operates on Amazon US, Amazon Canada, Amazon Mexico, Amazon Europe and Walmart online marketplaces. More importantly, we are looking for an individual who loves to work with numbers and analyze data. They must be able to work with other tea ---------- mbers, execute in a timely manner, and produce solutions to new problems that affect the overall business. We value hard work, creative thinking, accountability, and attention to detail obsession. This position will be at the center of the business with involvement in just about every area, while taking full accountability of select responsibilities. There will be client engagement through detailed financial reporting. The candidate will also be highly involved in establishing companywide standard operating procedures as it relates to all bookkeeping efforts.

General Responsibilities

Process monthly bookkeeping for all areas of the business to create Income, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements for the ---------- cludes reviewing and reconciling credit card and bank statements.

Process sales tax compliance in necessary states, including necessary filings.

Reconcile Inventory levels monthly.

Create client specific reports monthly, including when requested.

Create and review forecasting files for internal use.

Process bill payments through Wise, bank wires and checks.

Review and analyze acquisition prospects.

Skills & Qualifications

-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in accounting. Data analytics is a must
-Advanced communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence cross-functional teams
-Self-motivated with strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills
-1+ year work experience in online/e-commerce marketplace space, including Amazon
-Fluency with Xero, A2X, Gusto and Avalara are preferable. Any other relevant bookkeeping technology welcomed
-Fluency in English. Must be able to communicate clearly both orally and written.
-Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
