We are a boutique web design and marketing agency located in Canada, that are passionate about helping our clients grow their businesses online. We serve a wide range of clients including heavy equipment and construction, landscaping and home services, food retail, and real estate.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for an experienced full-stack developer to join our team. This developer is responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress and HTML websites. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5+ years of software development experience and have extensive backend WordPress and WooCommerce experience.

They should be committed to a common goal of providing high-quality websites to our clients and solving technical problems. You should be ready and willing to get great satisfaction from serving our audience and become an integral part of our creative team.

This is a remote or work-from-home role and would ideally suit someone seeking a 20 hours a week position. With the right candidate, we hope to grow this into a full-time position.

The standard work hours will be 4 hours a day, five days a week. We are located in North America, so the work shift will occur from either 10pm until 2am or 5am till 9am Philippine standard time, with some flexibility.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Your job will be to use your past experience to:

- Develop and maintain custom and sometimes complex WordPress and Woo Commerce solutions
- Debug code and problem solve appropriate website fixes
- Build websites using Elementor page builder from provided mock-ups and apply CSS/coding customizations as needed
- Code HTML websites from scratch or customize existing themes
- Create or customize plugin features for client websites (WordPress)
- Manage monthly software updates of client websites (WordPress)
- Add features and support ongoing requests from clients (through our ticket center)
- Setup hosting accounts, staging sites and deploy websites or changes as needed
- Work to resolve issues related to client websites and hosting
- Assist in ongoing improvements to website speed, performance and security
- Troubleshoot, debug and support urgent bug requests
- Aid our internal team with problem-solving, technical questions and project planning
- Thoroughly test features and bug fixes, using a variety of browsers and devices to ensure workability
- Ongoingly document website functionality changes within our system

EXPERIENCE
You should have a minimum of 6+ years of software development, WordPress and WooCommerce experience. experience building WordPress sites using templates or custom themes while following industry best practices at the same time or at least a minimum of 3+ Years experience with:

- HTML5 / CSS3 / PHP
- MySQL / JavaScript / jQuery / APIs
- Version Control/Git
- Linux web server management 
- WooCommerce and Woo Framework
- Page Builders like Elementor and WP Bakery
- Understanding ManageWP is an asset
- Experience in web hosting performance and security issues.

As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable with both front-end and back-end coding languages and development frameworks. You should also be comfortable using internal communication and collaboration software like Zoom, Clickup, Loom and Slack.

The Developer will work with our project manager and designer to help design and shape unique, user-friendly products and experiences. They will also work with our SEO expert to make ongoing website improvements.

You should have strong communication skills, be confident enough to push back on the leadership team and express your opinion if you think the ship is heading off course. We encourage that. You should also be able to juggle many different tasks and requests simultaneously, have a problem-solving attitude and have great attention to detail.

However, we will train you regarding our systems, our products, and our customers so you can apply your skills to help us achieve our mission. We will also support you and encourage you in any way we can.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE
This is a part-time role and we're not looking for an agency.
