We are looking for an experienced videographer and social media expert to expand and diversify our output. Ideally somebody with a strong background in Youtube and TikTok.
The successful candidate will transform our social presence, editing and presenting short-form videos; posting tailored content according to best-practice guidelines; maximising reach, engagement and follower numbers; and reporting on performance.
The purpose is to increase popularity among a new, social-savvy audience by creating, posting and amplifying content across new and existing networks.
Key accountabilities:
- Publish short-form videos across all existing social networks, including Youtube, Tiktok,
- Plan, script, give directions for us to shoot, edit and upload original videos in line with the company’s goals
- Work as a videographer to produce content planned by other members of the team
- Launch our TikTok channel, along with any other appropriate network, and create content accordingly
- Take ownership of our social video output, setting the schedule according to best-practice guidelines and communicating that schedule to the team
- Relaunch and optimise our YouTube channel, occasionally creating longer-form pieces and publishing those created by freelance filmmakers
- Regularly post across all channels to maximise reach, engagement and referral traffic, promoting competitions, offers, UGC, blog articles, events and Q&As, and responding to comments from our followers
- Improve organic reach through active amplification
- Improve and systemise our content syndication to increase our online share of voice
- Work with external resources and agencies to create and promote hero content
- Ensure all published visual elements adhere to our brand guidelines
- Liaise with our digital marketing team to supply assets according to varying briefs
- Conduct other duties deemed by management to be commensurate with the role
Key relationships:
- Maintenance and development of relationship with individuals at external agency
- Regular communication with and feedback to internal colleagues from the marketing, sales, and operations departments
Experience, skills and qualifications:
- Experience working with all major social platforms
- Demonstrable expertise scripting and producing video in multiple formats (ideally experience of creating 'viral' videos)
- High level of aptitude in video-editing software, covering both pro level output and social media-specific packages
- Excellent English communication skills and a gregarious nature
- A high standard of written English
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- An ability to work independently
- Creative thinking
- Previous experience and a proven track record in a similar role is essential
We're looking for somebody who is a fluent communicator in English and can commit to working flexible hours - potentially 10-20 hours per week.
