The role includes but it not limited to:
-Preparation of Business Activity Statements, Income Tax Returns and Financial Statements for all manner of trading entities;
-Tax Planning, Structure Review, Business Advisory and Consulting;
-Supporting Directors and team with ongoing compliance work and special projects;
-Developing and maintaining relationships with clients;
-Liaising with third parties such as ATO, SRO, Lending Institutions, Legal Services, Brokers, etc.; and
-Assisting & participating in further development of the Practice's knowledge and skill
-Minimum of 3 years experience in Public Practice;
-Experience with online bookkeeping software (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks):
-Competent understanding and ability to complete Financial Statements, Tax Returns, Activity Statements and Financial Reports in an autonomous and timely manner;
-Ability to apply your tax knowledge to everyday tax scenarios;
-Ability to understand, communicate and solve problems in a practical manner;
-Strong client focus and communication skills - communication will be imperative internally, with external stakeholders and clients; and
-Ability to work in a team and a willingness to learn as well as to contribute.
