Creative Storyteller via Video Editing

We're looking for a video editor that is looking for an opportunity to tell stories through creative videos. These videos will be for both our own internal efforts as well as for our ---------- most cases, the videos will start out as a long-form piece of content (interviews, podcasts, dialogue, instructional, etc.) and you will be tasked with editing this long-form video into several useable clips that can be posted to YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, blogs, ---------- itially, you will work with us to do the initial edits and identification of specific clips to use in order to convey the appropriate message. HOWEVER, the goal in short order would be for you to be able to take the raw footage and create both the "finished" long and short-form videos.

This means you'll need to understand the objectives of each video, the intended target audience, the platform it will be posted to, and as a result, the specific format it needs to be in (dimensions, length, captions or no, etc.). We will of course work with you to help you understand these elements so you can develop the necessary confidence to be able to complete future projects with limited, "as needed" guidance.

You should be a self-starter and proactive. You will receive instructions and guidance for new projects, but beyond that, you shouldn't be afraid to go above and beyond in order to fully utilize and maximize the raw content.

Finished projects will include the finished video content ready to be posted to the appropriate channels/platforms. This includes captions and SRT files, if appropriate.

BONUS if you're able to also create the content for the actual posts themselves - thumbnails, captions, hashtags, etc.

Aside from being a wizard at editing videos and creating engaging content, you need to also be able to communicate effectively with us so we can work together to create processes and an environment where we both win. This means you'll need to tell us when you need something and have patience as we learn how to provide you with the guidance, tools, and resources you need to be successful.
