Job Description:

We are a niche and competitive player in our sector, and we are expanding our team and looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team.

We take up the challenge to build simple or complex applications then work hard to bring them to market, scale them and challenge big incumbents.

As a hybrid/remote team we use Slack for communication, GitHub for code, Cloud dockerized hosting, Asana for task organizing, Cypress for automation tests. We give opportunities for continual growth and improvement and even though we work remotely we meet some times in random places in the world.

You have the option to work from our offices in Paphos, or flexible/remote too. If you choose our offices, you will have the benefit of a fun team, unlimited coffee and a well-stocked fridge.

Responsibilities:

As a member of our growing team you will be involved in all stages of the development of our projects. Your key daily tasks will include:

Implement monitoring and alerting for all of our products
Build, maintain and enhance our highly-available distributed applications
Maintain and improve CI/CD (we use dockerized environments from local to Prod with Docker Swarm and we are transitioning to K8s)
Be part of the architecture discussions with CTO to implement failovers, catchups etc
Keep up to date the applications with the latest vulnerabilities
Requirements
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar position
Strong Linux/Unix command line/bash skills
Strong version control skills such as Git.
Experience with cloud platforms, Docker Container orchestration (Docker Swarm, K8s)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), deployment automation
Experience with Nginx, PHP-FPM, GoFiber
Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Awareness of DevOps principles
Fluent in English


Consider as plus:

Experience using ELK Stack, Grafana.
Experience with monitoring processes and tools such as New Relic, Appoptics.
Previous work in Telecom companies
Programming skills Go or Python
Experience with Lua
Experience with Roadrunner
