Senior UI Designer

We are a fully funded startup looking for a Senior UI Designer to grow our existing platform into a new and exciting space. We have an established platform operating nationwide within Australia in the transport industry and with our recent round of funding have plans to expand our usage globally through a software-as-a-service ---------- parallel to our leading software we have a unique business model proposal that will disrupt our sector.

You will be joining an existing talented and driven team who are looking to expand our system into an industry first, world class solution.

You will be joining an established team which brings a wealth of experience consisting of seasoned industry professionals, expansion specialists and technical leaders who have worked in some of the biggest and most innovative tech firms and global corporations.

Location
Our head office is located in Sydney Australia with a remote work policy in place enabling us to look overseas for talented engineers - which could be you!

About the role
We are looking for a talented UI Designer with 5+ years of experience who will create amazing user experiences. The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful design, possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artefacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

Responsibilities
- Build a reusable component library in Figma and set best practice for the rest of the team to follow
- Collaborate with business leads and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
- Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering
- Conceptualise original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
- Create moodboards, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
- Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
- Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Requirements and skills
- Proven UI experience
- Experience with Figma, Invision or alternatives
- Demonstrable UI design skills with a strong portfolio
- Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, OmniGraffle, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
- Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
- Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
- Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
- Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively across all levels of the company

Bonus Experience
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
- High level of proficiency in English
