Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a full-time, full-stack developer to work in our small, boutique agency.
The full-stack developer is responsible for developing and maintaining WordPress websites. The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of software development experience and have WordPress and WooCommerce experience.
The Developer will work with our project manager and lead developer to help design and shape unique, user-friendly products and experiences.
As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and server maintenance.
You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.
Responsibilities
Your job will be to use your past experience to:
Manage monthly software updates of client websites (WordPress)
Building websites in page builder from provided mock-ups and applying CSS/coding as needed
Perform monthly support requests from clients (through support ticket center)
Develop WordPress themes for new client
Create or customize plugin features to client websites (WordPress)
Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the WordPress CMS.
Work to resolve issues related to WordPress websites and client hosting
Assist in maintaining client’s website speed performance and security.
Providing coaching and leadership to other members of the team on processes and best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
Helping to create a scalable development process.
Help maintain our hosting servers.
Aid the sales team and internal accounts team with general technical questions and project planning.
Experience
You should have 5+ years of software development, WordPress and WooCommerce experience. experience building WordPress sites using templates or custom themes while following industry best practices at the same time or at least a minimum of 3+ Years experience with:
HTML5 / CSS3 / PHP
MySQL / JavaScript/jQuery / APIs
Version Control/Git
Linux web server management
Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats.
WooCommerce and Woo Framework
Page Builders like Beaver Builder, Elementor, WP Bakery, and Divi
Understanding ManageWP, WPEngine, Cloudflare, GhostInspector
Experience in web hosting performance and security issues.
The Developer will work with our project manager and lead developer to help design and shape unique, user-friendly products and experiences.
As a Full Stack Developer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and server maintenance.
You should be comfortable using some internal communication tools such as Clickup, Asana, Google Drive, Zoom, Slack for tea
You should have strong communication skills, also be confident enough to push back on the leadership team and express your opinion if you think the ship is heading off course. We encourage that.
