Responsibilities for Mechanical Engineer
• Prepare manufacturing drawings for street furniture projects, specifications and estimates
Use Numerical Simulation to optimise product design for plastic, cast metal, and fabricated steel
• Develop accurate layouts, assembly drawings and details.
• Take direction from engineers and executives to research drawings, catalogs and sketches to develop detailed dimensioned AutoCAD drawings.
• Review drawings prior to the release to fabricators.
• Use FEA to optimise designs to meet wheel load standards
• Develop, coordinate, or monitor all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, fabrication, or operation of product designs
• Coordinate with manufacturers internationally, and teaUpgrade to see actual infombers via email/virtual meeting as required, to ensure successful design outcomes

Requirements and Qualifications for Structural Engineer

• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Experienced with Finite Element Analysis
• Excellent at problem solving and decision making
• Effective at communicating with supervisors, peers, and support staff
• Experienced at coordinating production
• Degree in Structural engineering, Structural engineering tech, or relevant tech degree
• Must be creative and resourceful to fulfil customer needs within budget
Stay up to date on current practices and manufacturing trends by engaging in continued research and education

Relevant work experience

Relevant work experience
• 3+ years of experience in a similar role - examples required
• Proficient with computer aided design and drafting for sheet metal forming and Structural engineering
• Experienced with Finite Element Analysis
