Excel WIZARD for Harvard MBA

The candidate should have:
2 years Experience making spreadsheets for business modeling purposes. A typical spreadsheet will be a projection of future revenue, based on recent history and projections of the future. The ideal candidate will understand the drivers affecting the line items on the income statement (eg. Is revenue driven by increasing distribution to a number of stores, with an expected revenue per store? Is there an adoption period? What expenses are going to be incurred to develop and generate that revenue? I will provide the estimates, ideally the candidate will be able to identify any inconsistencies or missing information.

All work will be done in excel. The formulas should be easy to follow and understand – a model that can’t be easily explained and checked has no value. Appropriate parameters should be visible in the spreadsheet to be changed easily, not hidden formulas. The candidate should have experience developing charts to clearly present the results.

Should have excellent spoken and written English, so that the elements needed to develop and fine-tune the spreadsheet, and any issues that come up, can be clearly communicated.
