The Position: We're seeking a content writer passionate about creating content to engage various audiences and promote our business. This role may be ideal if you are a self-starter who works well independently and enjoys creating, writing, revising, editing, and proofreading various types of content for our website, email campaigns, and social media channels. Creative individuals adept at capturing our target audiences' attention with persuasion and impactful imagery find the most success in this role. What You Bring to the Table:
• Experience: 3+ years of prior creative content writing experience
• Education: Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, marketing, or another pertinent field
• Eligibility: Must pass a criminal background check and drug test
• Specialized knowledge: Excellent written command of American English (including grammar, sentence structure, syntax, and similar); familiarity with marketing and website optimization tools; WordPress, Canva, Adobe Stock, Pexels, or Pixabay experience are helpful
• Skills: Creativity and imagination, advanced written skills, sharp research skills, superb proofreading skills, self-motivated, robust listening skills, highly organized, attention to detail, intermediate computer skills, persistence, scheduling/time management skills, critical-thinking skills, brainstorming skills, positive attitude, quality-focused, and excellent problem-solving skills
• Abilities: Works well independently and collaboratively
• Windows 10 Pro computer or newer, with webcam
• Reliable high-speed internet, backup internet
• Battery backup or generator
• Noise-canceling headphones

Responsibilities:
• Develops strong familiarity with the company's products and services
• Monitors and adjusts content to adhere to the company's brand guidelines and academic styles
• Maintains a content calendar to reflect our business strategy
• Translates business objectives and strategy into compelling content for various audiences
• Writes emails, advertisements, website content, blog entries, papers, articles, brochures, social media posts, press releases, and similar
• Maintains readability of content while incorporating favorable SEO elements
• Generates backlinks
• Limited backend page optimization using a Content Management System; limited HTML editing
• Exhibits a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Works autonomously; meets with internal and external stakeholders as necessary
• Timely responds to phone calls and tickets via the CRM/ticketing system
• Communicates professionally via all modes of contact
• Acts as a social media manager and brand ambassador for the company
• Stays abreast of industry developments and trends
